We champion progressive values of inclusion, equal rights, and social justice in the heart of Alabama, and we are allied in our commitment to campaigning for, voting in, and supporting local, state, and national representatives who share our values and vision.
We began meeting after many of us participated in the 2017 Women’s Marches in Washington, DC and Birmingham, AL. We offer Montevallo and our surrounding central Alabama communities a gathering place and forum for civic engagement in support of gender equality, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, affordable healthcare, quality education, economic opportunity, and environmental sustainability.
We meet for dinner, discussion, and direct action on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning at 6 pm. We appreciate that St. Andrew’s Church at 925 Plowman St. in Montevallo allows us to use their meeting room.
